On 1 August, 2025, we unexpectedly received a cease-and-desist (C&D) notice from a third party regarding New Design Congress. While this did not directly target the Undersco.re community, nevertheless we are unable to maintain the Undersco.re servers or steward the community without risking violating the demands made in the notice.

We believe strongly in our position, but we are voluntarily complying with the demands outlined in the notice at this time. As a result, we're sad to say that we are unwilling to leave the community infrastructure unmoderated, and as such, the Undersco.re community is now closed.
